On S3 Ep13.... thoughts on the characters so far (please no spoilers)

i'm in the middle of season 3 and have been binging this show every morning and night, and even on my lunch break at work (or even while actively working... it's pretty addictive lol) and i have a lot of opinions on the characters so far

Meredith: she confuses me sometimes as a protagonist, i feel like the show wants me to root for her and agree with her decisions (especially regarding Derek), but a lot of the times i think she chooses the most unwise option.... i don't necessarily dislike her though, and i actually really enjoy her dynamic with Christina and Izzy, and even George up until that moment. but the on-again off-again with Derek really grates my nerves at times

Christina: i totally see why she's a fan favorite. she does frustrate me sometimes like Meredith, but i feel like i can understand where Christina is coming from more often. at first i disliked her relationship with Burke, but it's grown on me. i really enjoy her but i wouldn't say she's a personal favorite of mine.

Izzy: probably my favorite of the og interns. i personally find her the most relatable to myself so im sure that skews my view a little, but i find her very endearing and i can always understand why she makes the choices she does. also, even though the show is all about Meredith as the "hero" surgeon, i feel like overall Izzy is way more passionate about the actual patients and their well-being than the other interns, except maybe George.

George: started off a favorite, then began to fall in the ranks, but very recently becoming a favorite again. particularly his dads death got him to rise up my ranks again, and him "fixing" his relationship with Callie (even though i'm not a huge fan of Callie, and their relationship did get spoiled for me so i know it doesn't go well). I also thought the getting married in Vegas actually made so much sense for them lol

Alex: definitely took some time to grow on me. I hated the way he treated Izzy and the rest of the women at first, but i've gotten more respect for him through working with Dr. Montgomery and growing and learning from working with babies and women patients.

Dr. Bailey: LOVE HER. adore her. reminds me of some of my own coworkers. nothing else i can say. LOVE HER

Derek: i don't find McDreamy all that dreamy or charming at all. at best he's kinda funny and nice, at worst he's pretty cringe.

Dr. Burke: if anything i would say he's Dr. McDreamy. way more charming than Derek, although his stubbornness and near narcissism is troublesome at times

Dr. Montgomery: i was skeptical of her at first, but she grew on me and i was really excited for her to get a super cool arc of "redeeming" herself as far as the aftermath of her and Derek, but then she goes and kisses Alex and ruins it for me lol

also doctors PLEASEEEEE stop dating your interns i can only take so much lol
