Is it still possible to get a Tamagotchi Uni at MSRP?

I've been looking for a Tamagotchi Uni, but all the prices are $100+. I've seen mixed opinions online whether they are still being released or if they're being discontinued, with Japan getting new versions and people claiming that their local stores still have them. For reference, I'm based in the USA.

Is it possible to get an Uni at retail, or is the secondary market my only option? Also, is it still worth purchasing, with it being an older model and fears of servers being shut down?
