Looking for a woman's perspective

My girlfriend, is 5ft3, and started at 168.7lbs back in March.

Over these months to date, she has tightened up her calories to around 1200-1300 calories a day, with a bit of a surplus on weekends + increased step count to 8k minimum. We then added weight training.

She hit a 7 week plateau which was pretty rough, but during this time we actually increased her calories to 1500-1700 a day, and increased gym + consistency with steps, and broke that plateau eventually.

To date she weighs 144lbs, which is candidly a massive milestone for her. We went to Lululemon and bought some workout clothes that make her feel confident, a stark contrast from the high school teeshirts and gym shorts she was wearing before [noting we haven't been in HS for many years lol.].

Now our plan is to try to stick to 1500 calories a day, 100g protein, 8-10k steps + 4 weight training days a week. Has anyone similar to her metrics gone through this process? We find the w/w fluctuations to be frustrating, and have started second guessing ourselves despite her losing 24lbs to date so far.
