VITAP biggest Techfest VTAPP 🤡

Calling this the “biggest tech fest” is honestly hard to understand.
The whole event felt more like a commercial entertainment event than a technology festival. The focus seemed to be on crowds, stalls, food, music, and general entertainment rather than technology, innovation, or meaningful industry interaction.
A tech fest should have actual technology at its center—companies showcasing products, industry experts, technical workshops, startup exhibitions, robotics, AI, cybersecurity, hardware projects, research demonstrations, hackathons, and opportunities for students to interact with people from the tech industry.
But here, where was all of that?
Even the drone show, which was promoted as one of the major attractions, lasted barely around three minutes. A three-minute drone show cannot suddenly turn an otherwise entertainment-focused event into a proper technology festival.
Compare this with tech fests at VIT Vellore and several other colleges, where students get exposure to companies, industry professionals, technical competitions, workshops, projects, and actual innovations.
There is nothing wrong with organizing a commercial or entertainment event. The problem is calling it a “tech fest” when the technology component feels secondary.
If you are going to call something the biggest tech fest, then the event should actually demonstrate why it deserves that name.
Big crowds ≠biggest tech fest.
More stalls ≠biggest tech fest.
A 3-minute drone show ≠biggest tech fest.
A tech fest should be about technology.
