Sending Love
To those visiting this page every week, hi! Thanks for the visit. I hope you’re doing well. I just want you to know that you are loved. Don’t forget that!
To those who are apart of OA: Most of the people who you are checking this page hoping to see post, we’re here also. We’re coexisting in this online platform secretly waiting for a glimpse of an old friend, loved one, or maybe even old foe. So, welcome! Thanks for visiting. I hope we find you with love, compassion, a soft heart and pure intentions. For the record, we’re not here to influence someone to leave. We’re here to be a support to those who have left. We’re here to be a community for those that might feel like they lost theirs.
To those who left: You are not less than because you no longer make up a church body that you once did. You are not a bad person for questioning, for changing, or for choosing to walk away. You are strong for following the path you felt led to. You are courageous for taking a big step. I for one, am proud of you. You were taught that leaving meant you were lost, rebellious, or somehow broken. But if you got out, that took courage. Know that you are not lost, you are seen here.
If you’re still figuring out what you believe, grieving what you lost, angry about what happened, or simply trying to build a life outside of it all … you’re not alone.
You are allowed to heal. You are allowed to question. You are allowed to become someone outside of what a place or people told you that you were.
To all reading this post: I’m glad you’re here. I’m glad you exist. Thank you for taking the time to check in. We’re not alone. We’re in this together. No matter what side of the aisle we’re on, we’re all living on the same floating rock experiencing life for the first time. Let’s practice having grace for one another. Let’s show love to one another. Let’s move forward remembering who we are, what we are here to do, and the beauty in getting to figure all of that out.
