Short term memory is a disease best seen among our fans
I honestly don't understand all the fuss and negativity around the team right now. Not long ago, everyone was praising the new Madrid and the work Mourinho had done, but suddenly every subreddit and Real Madrid social media group seems to be attacking the team.
If you actually look at the games we've played this season so far, there are quite a few things to be positive about. Mourinho has clearly fixed a lot of the problems we had before.
Yes, we've lost two games, but against Betis we were extremely unlucky, and against Atlético we probably would've gotten a result if it wasn't for the referee
If the argument is simply that we aren't playing well enough and that the results aren't good enough, then fair enough. I agree that there is still a lot to improve. But we also have to remember that Mourinho inherited a team with some very bad habits. You can't completely change the mentality, structure and style of a team overnight. It takes time.
I also think a lot of the negativity from our own fans is a panic reaction to how well Barça are doing. People are already acting as if we're supposed to have everything figured out immediately, while Flick is now in his third season at Barça.
Let's give this team some time before declaring that everything is falling apart. There are genuine problems to fix, but there are also clear signs of improvement.
