What’s one upholstery material you won’t use again and why?

I work with an upholstery materials supplier, and I’m interested in understanding what information working upholsterers actually need before ordering.

What missing or unclear detail causes you the most trouble?

For example:

• Accurate color representation
• Stretch direction
• Material thickness and backing
• UV, mildew or abrasion resistance
• Roll width and usable yardage
• Recommended applications
• Availability and lead times
• Whether samples accurately match the current production lot

If you could require every supplier to clearly provide three pieces of information, what would they be?
