E46 Build Advice

I wanted to buy and restore a 330i, but was unsure of how good/bad of an idea it is, what maintenance looks like.

The context is that the e46 has been a dream car of mine for a very long time (a certain video game can be thanked for that one). I am in a place financially where I can take some risks. I was thinking of selling my 2018 Mazda 3 to go and purchase the e46.

The usage I am thinking of is a daily driver. To make things worse, I am not as proficient with cars. The first and only mod I did was to a crashed/salvaged is250 - which i purchased, restored, and sold. That had 0 engine issues and honestly was REALLY easy to work with. This is uncharted territory.

If I do go for this, what are things I should be aware of? I heard from AI rust, water pump/cooling, and vaccum tubes(?) are issues that crop up quite frequently. I assume any suspension will be shot by the time i get it. And the interior trim will breakdown pretty much right after I buy it.
