Does The Name Of The Wind has any action?

I think I'm in the middle point of the book (Kvothe first year at the university is almost over) and so far the book feels a little bit boring. Yes, it has a great protagonist but I thought this would be have a little more action set pieces and so far I feel like there hasn't really been any. Will there be any in the first book? Really feel like I'm pushing through, if the payoff is good, I'll keep going. What do you guys say
