Weird lucid-ish dream experience

I’ve often heard that if you realize you’re in a dream and you confront a person in your dream about it being a dream, they’ll deny it, or even turn hostile towards you. Maybe that’s an old internet wives tale. Anyways, in my dream I confronted someone about it being a dream and they kinda just laughed at the comment, when I pressed further and even mentioned “aren’t you supposed to be angry at me or whatever for recognizing this is a dream” they just shrugged their shoulders and said “I ain’t risking my job over that.” I was puzzled at that and asked “your job?” To which he just looked around and shrugged his shoulders again and said “yeah?!” For context, they were barista. Anyways, did I meet a unionized dream entity?
