FBW plan

Hi everyone!

I’ve been thinking about starting a simple full-body workout 3× a week, although some weeks I might only manage 2 sessions.

I’m not looking to get super jacked or build as much muscle as possible. My main goals are simply to feel better in my body, get stronger, and support my cycling.

I also cycle quite a lot, and I’ve been struggling with some lower-back and hip discomfort, so I’d like to add a few exercises to strengthen my core and hips and hopefully improve my overall stability.

At the moment, I’m thinking about keeping the main workouts very simple:

Workout A

  • Squat - 5×5
  • OHP - 5×5
  • Pull-ups - 5 sets

Workout B

  • Deadlift - 3×5
  • Bench press - 5×5
  • Rows - 5×5

I’d also like to add couple of exercises for core and hips to each workout, but I’m not really sure which exercises would be the most useful.

What would you recommend for core, hips and lower-back strength, especially considering that I cycle regularly? I’d prefer simple exercises that actually have a purpose and don’t add a lot of extra fatigue or make the workouts much longer.

Would you change anything else about the program for these goals?
