Spidertron Perimeter Patrol to auto-replace landmines

A Spidertron patrols our base's perimeter beyond the normal logistics network to replace landmines

With the 2.1 update allowing Spidertrons to patrol, is it possible to keep a perimeter of landmines beyond the borders of our Roboport network?

The purpose is to prevent expansions similar to or in addition to artillery.

If this is a known meta, then please give advice. Like how do you restock the Spidertron? What are the pros and cons of this?
