Would you recommend ff7 remake for somebody who never played jrpg?

Its 12 euro on eshop right now ive always wanted to try it since I missed out on the original , it seems to run very good on switch 2 and the price is decent, ive never played a jrpg before but I love games like elden ring and the rest of the souls rpg style games
