Am I selfish in my new relationship?

I was married to my “high school sweat heart” for 5 years. At the end of last year he came out as gay. We had been drifting apart for some time and I now realize it wasn’t a true “romantic relationship”. He was also verbally/emotionally abusive most of the relationship which I have now been seeing is a common thing in relationships where one person is not truly happy/hasn’t come out yet.

Only a few weeks after we officially separated, I met someone else. At first we were just “hooking up” and hanging out. It didn’t take long before we were officially dating.

Of course I think my new guy is very attractive, funny, and smart. When I think about what I love the most about him is the way he loves me. He never has me questioning if he truly loves me and I never feel like he’s going to just leave me. I’ve never been complimented and loved on like this. I feel selfish that my favorite thing about this guy is the way he loves and treats me.. is that a selfish thing? Is that normal? Am I just overthinking?
