Cash Advance woes

I was reviewing my statement the other day and I had $5.47 charge for interest on cash advance. I did recently travel internationally, and tried to use my card in an ATM but it didn't work. I didn't even get so far as entering my PIN. I hope that they wouldn't charge me a fee for an attempt where I didn't withdraw any money. Or maybe it's possible that there's some type of transaction that I made that chase interpreted as a cash advance.

I contacted customer service but they haven't responded.
