why this game gets that much hate

i was pretty hesitant at first cause of the bad reviews, but decided to give it a shot today (devs if you're reading this sorry lol, if there's no demo i always pirate first to try it out and buy it if i actually like it). and honestly i loved the game. i mean it's obviously not mafia or gta level, but it's way better than watch dogs legion at least and those had massive budgets. this feels like a solid indie title with a decent budget behind it. yeah it gets a bit repetitive, but so do ubisoft games. i bet half the people complaining about repetition love assassin's creed or far cry, and those are literally built on repetitive loops.

graphics are amazing, it captures that exact city vibe i wanted since gta 4. combat system is fun too imo they definitely shouldn't add guns, it's way better like this. a few small additions would be nice though, like being able to steal cars on road, swim for a bit without dying, and customize hair/outfits.

idk man, i genuinely like it. maybe my expectations were just rock bottom, but it hit the spot. also huge thanks for the regional pricing, it's around $15 in my country and 7 dollars on sale right now. just waiting on some money to come through, if i don't miss the sale i'm 100% buying it.
