January window thoughts

With the international break here and a lack of games, I was looking ahead to thinking about the January window even though it is a ways off.

With Nickson at Wrexham and R&R wanting to still push to get to the Prem ASAP, do we think Wrexham will look to make a splash in the next window?

While it is super unlikely and probably cost prohibitive, I came across an article on Balogun today and thought it would be an interesting long shot target. He has fallen out of favor in Monaco with only 1 appearance as a substitute. He feels destined for the Premier League, Bundesliga, or Super Lig at a hefty fee. At the same time, his transfer fell apart at the end of the summer window. It is obviously basically impossible to see this come together, but it feels like he is going to a new destination in January. I know it is a crazy thought but was just something fun to think about in that 0.00001% chance. Transfermarkt had his estimated value around 50M, but the offer was estimated around 35M upfront at the time and fell through.

A lot will depend on where we are in the table and who is fit as well as the budget. Does anyone have any realistic or long shot targets for the next window that they’d love to see in a Wrexham kit?
