AI vibe coding is starting to wear me out

Tools, apps, plugins, AI

Maybe I just need to be more patient.

Once a project gets big and complicated enough, the amount of nonsense in the AI-generated output starts to get really tiring. What surprises me most is how often it gets things wrong that seem pretty obvious. Sometimes they’re just really basic mistakes, and sometimes the way it tries to “fix” them is so unnecessarily clumsy that it creates even more problems.

I’ve also started running my projects through other AI tools to scan for issues, and they’ll come back with a huge list of problems. The frustrating part is that a lot of them are things I would never have known were there without actually reviewing the code.

At some point I start wondering if I would actually spend less time going down the wrong paths if I just designed and coded things myself. Obviously there are projects I couldn’t realistically build on my own, and that’s where AI is incredibly useful. But having to spend so much more time reviewing, debugging, and cleaning up the output than I expected is honestly exhausting.

And then I see all these AI companies posting these ridiculously confident ads on social media, while everyone working there seems completely unfazed by any of this.

Oh my god.
