Neurodivergence in women

I was diagnosed with ADHD last year at the age of 26. I have noticed that (in the UK especially) there is a lot of fear mongering around ADHD in the last few months. Claims that ADHD is overdiagnosed, people are self diagnosing themselves, it's a myth, "everyone has ADHD now" etc.

I wholeheartedly do not believe that it is a coincidence that as soon as women and girls start being diagnosed with neurodivergent conditions, people start acting like it's a "fad" or it stems from "self diagnosis."

And honestly? Neurodivergent men aren't always that much better. Articles about women being diagnosed later in life because of misogyny has men pissing up the wall crying their knobs off in the comments about "it's not just women! Men too! Men too! :("

These people make my head hurt.
