I've been using a Wacom Intuos for about 8 years now, and I'm thinking about switching to a display tablet.

My tablet has been giving me some trouble lately. It might be because I've dropped it on the floor way too many times, or maybe it's something to do with the pen nib, but yesterday I was about to lose my mind.

I have some commissions coming up next month, so I don't really want to take any chances. Also, if you want to buy anything in this country, you basically have to buy the taxes along with it because of all the import taxes and whatnot. So I'm hoping to get a tablet that can last me another 10 years.

At the same time, I'm a little worried that I won't be able to get used to drawing on a screen. I haven't even drawn on paper in a long time.

One of my friends uses an XP-Pen, and it seemed like a pretty good value for the price. I was considering getting the XP-Pen Artist 15.6 Pro because I found it on sale somewhere, but apparently it's an older model. I started reading comparisons and reviews and now I can't really decide what to do.

The newer models are way too expensive for me right now.

Should I save up and go for a newer/recommended model, or do you think the XP-Pen Artist 15.6 Pro would still be good enough?
