The man slouched down in a seat a few meters from the gate. For a moment he just stared idly at the plane that taxed up towards the gate. He peeked quickly at his watch. Fucking hell. 04:47. Why did I agree to such an early flight, the man thought as he rubbed his tired eyes and grabbed the overpriced cup of coffee at the small table next to him. Yep. Still tastes like too hot wastewater, he cursed as a grimace ran across his face when he swallowed.

He shivered slightly at the terrible bitter taste, and quickly put the cup of java back at the table. The man leaned forward and reached inside his bag. Opening up his laptop, he found his research file and started reading. Might as well get some work done, he figured and pulled a deep breath to try to force his tired and sleepy mind into work mode.

Barely focused on his reading the man sat in work mode for several minutes, and kept re-reading the same paragraph more than once. His foggy brain struggled to keep up. Just as he was about to write a few notes to try to remember what he had just read, movement in his peripheral vision caused the man to look up slightly from his screen towards the row of seats opposite from him.

For a brief moment, when he saw her for the first time, the man forgot everything about overpriced coffee and early flights.

We have all been there!

It seems like a surprisingly universal experience. When you are at the airport. Be it going through security, standing in line at one of the over priced stores, sitting at one of the over priced coffee shops or restaurants, or just sat at the gate. 

At the airport, you always end up seeing someone that just strikes some kind of chord. Someone you keep thinking about your whole journey. Maybe for a few days. Or maybe even longer.

I want to write a story about such an experience, but explore what happens when it actually goes further than just fascination and admiration from afar. I am looking for someone who wants to write a slow burn romantic story from such a starting point.

I would prefer to find someone who wants to do something long term. Someone who likes to write more than two sentences and someone who I can develop a good writing vibe with. A reliable partner is always preferred. Discord is a must. 3rd person writing is preferred. No use of AI for the writing.
