Trouble with poop
We have a just turned four year old who absolutely refuses to poop on the potty. He’s been peeing on the potty (first while sitting, now standing) for about six months to a year.
It feels like we’ve tried everything and I’ve reached a point where I am having a hard time hiding my anger and frustration from the process. I know it’s best to keep it calm, happy, encouraging but it’s growing difficult. The boys anger and frustration appear to be creeping in too.
We took away the pull ups and he seems to be doing better with the overnight pee than the poop. I refuse to put the pull ups back in play, I don’t want to perpetuate this cycle.
Please share any tips or tricks. Dig deep in the archive because I’m at the point where I will try literally anything. We’ve tried miralax, a reward chart, prizes, scheduled sitting, activities (books, ipad) while sitting, many conversations, many choices for him to keep some control…
Please help!
