Does anyone use diatomaceous earth?

I don’t ever see diatomaceous earth discussed here very often. Was wondering if anyone uses it on citrus for insect/mite control, and curious of its’ effectiveness. it uses a physical action, non-chemical mechanism to kill insects. Pros or cons of use on citrus? Does anyone use it regularly? How to apply if you do use it? Wet spray or with a powder duster?
