AI makes writing accessible to people who were never confident writers

This is one area where I think the benefits are easy to overlook. Someone might have interesting ideas but struggle with grammar, organization, or finding the right words.

Having an AI assistant can lower that barrier considerably.

The interesting question is whether those people eventually become better writers through using the tool, or whether they simply become dependent on it to express ideas they could otherwise never communicate as clearly.
