I got a call from this number 09692269532 claiming to be from BPI. Sabi nila someone was trying to apply for a loan using my credit card, “multiple times”. So the caller tried to confirm these information:

1. BPI account number - they stated my old bank account number (which got me confused and thinking na similar to sa previous scam)

2. Customer number in SOA

I tried to dictate my customer number pa lol then they told me na they’re not going to ask for any of my details. So they said they blocked my card and will send a replacement right away and confirmed if I have my card with me, then pwede ko na raw gupitin sa may chip part. Haha.

I was then “transferred” to their supervisor (same line lang, same number, no background music) to “help” me with the card replacement. While I was waiting, I transferred my savings and temporarily blocked my card. Then sabi ng supervisor na she will require me to input my credit card number and cvv on my phone’s keypad, kasi she’ll transfer me daw to an automated call. Wala raw background music and no one will talk sa “automated call” na yun, I just needed to input the numbers. I then started recording the call and permanently blocked my card sa app and requested for a replacement.

After a few seconds of silence, they dropped the call na. Tried calling them back, the first agent answered and I told them the call got cut off and binaba ulit.

Although question is, will anything be compromised kasi I confirmed my customer number?
