Dream I killed someone protecting my family

I had a really crazy dream last night that I can’t shake off, I know technically we all dream every night but I’m the kind of person that normally just doesn’t remember. Last night though, I had a really weird dream, I dreamed that I was living back at my parents house and everyone still lived there so my 2 older brothers, mom, dad and me. I was sleeping with both my parents in one bed and someone broke into the house, the persons then went over to me and handed me a knife and I started cutting my dad on his ankles, but not willingly it was almost like the person had me in a trance, midway I was able to break away from the trance and run to the other room to wake my brother up and yelled at him that someone had broken into the house, he woke up and we ran into the living room and the person was laying on my oldest brother almost smothering him, my brother that I had woken up then handed me a knife and told me I had to kill them and so I did, I stabbed them in the top of their back and dragged the knife down, in my dream I felt the blood pouring out it was kinda intense, then I buried the body in the back yard and woke up. Again I never really dream and if I do I don’t remember so this one felt odd to me and what also added to it is that it was on my morning of my birthday, so I woke up feeling strange but I shook it off but I’ve been thinking about it all day, just wondering if my conscious is trying to tell me something or if any of it has any meaning
