I want to give improvement exams

When do improvement exams for 2nd year happens? I got 26 marks in maths. The thing is I used to be a very academic child but and like my marks are good in every subject except maths and bcz of that my whole percentage went low. Idk I want to improve it but in what cases should I improve it or should just move forward? When do improvement exams happen?
