Potentially going to teach in China

💼 Work/Career

Hello, I'm looking to move to China next year, around March 2027.

I was wondering if this timeline made sense and seems reasonable for the time frame I have.

October: Apostille everything besides FBI CRC

November: Start FBI CRC (I live in Korea as of current so the process is longer for me)

- Was thinking of using momumentvisa.com but if you think another apostille service is better lmk

December: Hopefully sign a contract / Finish FBI CRC apostille, should take 2-3 weeks to get it back from the FBI and then sending it to be apostilled

January: Apply for visa by now - A little confused about this part specifically but I'm still researching

Feb: ????? Waiting I guess

March: Move to China

If I get a work Z visa, can I come a bit earlier than my start date, like Feb 27th or smth Or do I have to state a very specific date to enter the country

Does this seem reasonable/feasable? I've heard a lot of mixed reviews from recruiters, such as I'm looking too early, I need to start the FBI CRC now even though it would expire before I even got to China, I already don't have enough time but 95% of the interviews I've recieved have told me essentially that I'm wayyyy too early but they want to keep me in mind for future employment and will contact me in December/Jan
