Christmas trip to Europe for two friends, where should we go?

Hey everyone, me and a friend (both 25) are planning our first Christmas trip to Europe for around 6–7 nights, somewhere between the end of November and beginning of December.

We want to really experience the Christmas atmosphere, markets, decorations, nice streets and all that, but also have a good balance with nightlife, bars, clubs, good food and maybe some nice and relatively cheap shopping / end of season sales.

Right now we're considering Prague, Budapest, Vienna and Berlin.

We've already been to Prague and Budapest in spring and loved both, but we're also open to trying somewhere new.

Which city would you recommend for this kind of trip and why? Especially interested in what the atmosphere is actually like during that period, nightlife for two 25-year-old friends and whether there's enough to do for a full week.

Would love to hear from people who have actually visited these cities around Christmas and not just general tourist recommendations 🙏
