My friend’s daughter is severely autistic and both parents are in denial.

I’m 100% certain my friends daughter is severely autistic she has all the signs constant humming, non-verbal, poor motor skills and poor emotional regulation. It seems like these first time parents are in complete denial. They are treating this poor child like she’s normal child and will eventually “grow out of it”. The child is not getting the proper support or treatment for her autism

I do think it has a lot to with the father which is egoistical enough to deny the child any medical treatment as it will prove his own genetics created an autistic child the type of dude who thinks his shit don’t stink. I’m starting to get annoyed now since parents won’t admit their child is autistic the people around have to pretend that child is normal and doing normal toddler things. Also have found it puts a lot of stress on other toddlers in my friend group like during a playdate 80% of the time the kid is just throwing tantrums and other kids have no clue WTF is happening.

Like my biggest gripe really is this poor child is getting the old school method of parenting an autistic child instead of using modern techniques. I’m sure the parents have some idea their child has autism it’s a very painful realization but as long as they are in denial the child will never get proper support and medical care.
