Recently passed my test, automatic only - VERY confused by what to look for in a car
Hey! I recently passed my test and am now looking for a first car to buy, and just feel very overwhelmed by all the advice friends and family are giving me.
Automatics are a LOT more expensive (which I expected!), especially in Bristol where I am - but navigating used cards feels like a minefield for me. My budget is ideally around £3.5/4k max, so think I’ll probably have to get something older or higher mileage than I’d like. I don’t see myself driving too much - mainly weekends and trips, not much city driving. I’m not too bothered about what it looks like for now, I just want something reliable and relatively cheap to run.
I’ve found a car that seems ok - a 2013 Skoda Fabia
1.2 TSI SE DSG Euro 5 5dr for £2,500, 103,000 miles, full service history and MOT until June 2027, no advisories. Does this sound like a good option? Would be very grateful for any advice!
