Am I really that toxic for using this loadot

Tried the game recently, always get screwed over by knife exclusive people so I sometimes just used energy pistols and flamethrower to fight against it. However, for this I got called toxic by my own teammate two times by now, despite one of them already telling the enemy to not use knife. I don't even type in chat 99% of the time, so I can't be toxic verbally, is this loadout really that toxic
