Hey everyone. Long time lurker, first time posting here.

I run a faceless movie recap channel in the vertical format. The twist: I could not find a tool that automates recap production the way I needed, so I built my own pipeline. Upload any movie, and it produces the finished recap: transcription, a hook first script, scene matching against the actual footage, AI voiceover, burned in subtitles. A 2 hour movie becomes a recap in about 7 minutes.

What I learned so far, in case it is useful to anyone here:

1. Voice consistency matters more than voice quality. My first narrator sounded decent but changed tone between videos. Fixed by locking one voice and one delivery style across all uploads.
2. The first 2 seconds of a recap decide everything. Same video, same channel: new cold open, retention jumped. I A B tested this with zero budget, just re ordering the first line.
3. Automation is a starting point, not the final product. The tool gives me a 90 percent finished recap, and the last 10 percent (title, thumbnail, the opening line) is still manual. That is where the craft lives.

The tool is at [aivideorecap.com](http://aivideorecap.com) if anyone wants to test the approach for their own channel. Happy to answer questions about the pipeline or the niche, and I genuinely want to hear how other faceless creators handle their editing workflow.
