Welcome to Books by Robert C. Young 📚

Hello, and welcome!

This is a home for anyone who's read (or is curious about) my books, most of all the Gallowglass: The Rendlesham Paradox series, an X-Files-inspired supernatural mystery saga set in a strange, disorienting forest on the England–Scotland border. If you've spent time with Artie Cole, his fearless Jack Russell Milo, and the enigmatic Agent Vance, you're very much among friends here.

A bit about what you'll find on these shelves:

🌲 Gallowglass: The Rendlesham Paradox — the main event. Three complete series so far, plus a Halloween special, following Artie and the team through mysteries both dangerous and deeply moving in the Gallowglass Expanse.

🕯️ Beyond the Smoke — a more reflective, spiritual read, exploring the unseen and the questions that sit just beyond ordinary perception.

✨ Awakening to Spiritual Awareness — for readers drawn to deeper inner exploration.

🔍 The Heretic's Code — for anyone willing to question what they've always been told to simply accept.

🇬🇧 The English Soul — a collection of poetry exploring English identity, landscape, and character.

What this space is for:

• Talk about the books, theories, favourite characters, moments that got you (Milo's injury still gets me, if I'm honest)
• Ask questions about the series, the world, or what's coming next
• Share your own reviews, fan art, or thoughts, genuinely, I'd love to see them
• Just say hello, I'll be popping in myself when I can

I came to writing later in life, after a fairly winding road — armoured cavalry, Nordic ski racing, a couple of decades driving HGVs, and a health scare that nudged me toward art and, eventually, storytelling. Gallowglass in particular came from a lifelong love of the eerie and the unexplained, and from my own scruffy Jack Russell, Milo, who's a much better dog than his fictional counterpart deserves credit for inspiring.

Thanks for being here. Whether you've read everything or you're only just discovering the Expanse, I'm genuinely glad to have you.
