Yangon city tour

Yangon is the main gateway to enter and leave Myanmar due to Yangon International airport. Then, Yangon is both a comercial and big city in Myanmar. Once upon a time, Yangon became an old city called Dagon where King Okkalapa ruled the kingdom. Yangon was also called Dagon in terms of Shwedagon pagoda located on the small hill top. In 1744, king Alaungpayar captured Dagon and changed the name ' Dagon' into Yangon to represent the end of the strife. In 1852, the British occupied Yangon and changed the name' Yangon' into Rangoon. In 1989, the military changed the name ' Rangoon' into Yangon.
