hi. i’m a 3rd yr (5th semester) information systems student, and i’d really appreciate some advice/criticism on my resume.

i specialize in automation, but not really the engineering side of it (more like in low code automation).

next semester i’ll be starting my internship period and i’ll need to submit both my resume and portfolio. right now have around 5-7 completed projects, 4 which i’ve already highlighted on my resume.

the problem is i don’t really have a specific area of focus yet. i worked on data analysis, UI/UX, automation, and web development. i’m also currently working on an IoT and another automation projects.

i’m also concerned because i’ve never really been a very active student. i tried applying for laboratory assistant positions on both IS and CS labs but failed both tests. i’ve never joined any clubs and haven’t won any competitions. i lean more toward technical work but i rarely use github (never taught to do it and i learn most things on my own). honestly still don’t know where i should aim for.

for now i’m working on my own portfolio website. is it better to have a personal website or should i just make one on canva/figma? i often get stuck on the design because i have way too many ideas on what my portfolio should look like.

i’d really appreciate any advice or criticism. thank you in advance.
