What is a good time for the "dating phase" into a relationship? Not to long not to short

I'm in a pickle right now. we're long distance we have know each other since November 2026 on and off because i never took it seriously. we officially established being exclusive dating but not together in August so we have been talking for over a month. The thing is we only met in November when he came up to me and stayed together for two days in August. So only one official date. We plan to see each other 3 more times before January. I know there's not a certain time frame to be boyfriend and girlfriend but when is to long to long? I usually wait 1-3 months in past relationships, but since this is long distance I'm kind of confused?
