Do you think politics and psychology should be mandatory subjects for software developers?
Looking at the amount of workplace politics developers have to deal with, I sometimes feel that learning about politics, psychology, and human behaviour is almost as important as learning programming languages.
I've noticed that developers often have the least control over workplace politics but can be heavily affected by it when it comes to projects, visibility, promotions, and career growth.
Do you think these subjects should be taught more seriously in academics or as part of professional development?
