Need honest advice on a marriage prospect, better if a doctor gives.

I'm a female 28 and he is male 31.

Met a guy on an Islamic matrimonial app 2 months ago. Early on, we talked constantly to know each other, from morning till 4 AM oftenly, but recently his effort dropped completely fewer calls, late replies, and no morning texts.

Our mothers spoke after one month after we were sure about each other obviously I told him I'll not talk to him after one month if he will be not sure or not willing to involve his family, my father doesn't know about him yet. When my father(both parents)was visiting his city my mother called his mother and said we should meet and her father should meet you guys(his maternal uncle) because parents are abroad and wanted to arrange a formal meeting, his family made sudden, indirect excuses (caste differences, joint family rules, and unreachable/busy relatives). Right after this, his behavior became cold and distant. I strongly feel he asked his mother to make those excuses because he is not ready. Why I feel like he is not ready because I know it's difficult to arrange everything for a wife because currently he is living with his relative and doesn't have any responsibility.

He is a medical resident with major exams by the end and start of next year. He is completely drained and stre++ed about handling rent and living expenses on his own I guess . Even though I offered to be flexible and work to contribute, he treats marriage planning like a heavy burden. And says that how why this has to happen I'm already burnout because of my job and exams. I'm very supportive but I'm feeling like I'm carrying this on my shoulders to keep it going because I've never experience any relationship so I think it might work if I put efforts. I really like this guy and it's very difficult to find someone who is compatible. When I bring up the marriage topic and say to make it fast so there will be no heartbreak, he distance himself, he gaslights me saying, "You're overthinking, I'm serious," but shows zero action or backbone with his family. Now he blames that I'm not well, I'm si+k and busy for disappearing early at night and ignoring my texts.

My parents are actively looking at other proposals in Lahore right now.

For the context he told me about his past that he ghost a girl once for his exams but when he reached after months she was heart broken and move on. Also previous girls were psych++aths/manipulative and I always had intentions of marrying every girl that came in my life. I think it's a pattern.

✓ Is he ga+++ghting me just to keep me as emotional support while avoiding real commitment?

✓ Should I try to communicate one last time like writing a long paragraph?

✓ Should I stop texting completely, walk away, and let my parents move forward with other options?

Confused about this man
