Is there such thing as mythic therians?

Im not a therian nor are any of my immediate social circles therian so forgive me if anything I say is insensitive or ignorant sounding, but I had a question that came up after a conversation I had with a friend. Do mythical creatures count under the therian umbrella? And like,, to what extent? Is it only the non humanoid ones? Like dragons, phoenix, etc. Are the people who believe they are vampires count as therian? I can imagine that it depends person to person and whether they accept the label, but would a mythical creature or perhaps cryptid therian get backlash from the community for claiming the label? Ty in advance, and again, I sincerely mean no disrespect and I am coming from a place of genuine curiosity
