Question (I'm new to this influencer)

I saw some TikTok's of hers where she refers to her kids as "the mofos". Is there some sort of inside joke that new people wouldn't get or is it short for something? I found it very weird for a mother to call her own kids that, so can someone please explain? Thank you!
