" For ours benefit" theology
Imagine a doctor who prescribes a healthy diet and exercise regimen for your own physical benefit.
If you refuse to follow it, the logical consequence is that your health deteriorates.
However, if the doctor responds to your poor diet by locking you in a dungeon and setting you on fire, you would no longer view that doctor as a healer—you would view them as a tyrant.
Punishing humans eternally for failing to follow rules that were ostensibly created for their own survival defies both logic and benevolence.
It reveals that the system was never truly about the humans' welfare; it was about absolute obedience to authority.
