Pay discrepancy?

I am currently a team lead MIC at Panera living in California and I have worked at the same cafe for 5 years now and make roughly 44k a year. I was helping another cafe out and the MIC on shift had his information out on accident and I saw he makes 97k?? I asked him how long he’s worked at Panera and he said 6 years and before worked at Walmart. His check stub also said he was making salary and I get paid hourly, I didn’t even know people at Panera could make 97k a year especially not an MIC, how do I go about asking for a raise ?
