questions about hairpipe necklace and what to do with it

Hi, this is my first time posting in this sub, for reference, i am a white woman (F19) who lives in washington state.

I was given this choker/ necklace as a gift from a friend that she had in her room for a while and i’m guessing it’s vintage/ antique, she’s not sure where it came from as she’s had it for a while. i think it’s quite beautiful, but as a white woman im not sure if it would be appropriate for me to wear it. i know quite a bit about the regional tribes around me, but not much about tribes from the great plains region (which i believe this style of necklace is from).

if its inappropriate for me to wear/ own the necklace, should i donate it?

anyways, if anyone could help me identify whether this necklace is from traditional regalia or give input on the ethics of me wearing it, that would be cool! and i sincerely apologize if this post is offensive, if so i will take it down right away!
