The Great Man, Rudeus Greyrat

Just trying to blow off some steam at 3am.

The journal flashbacks were some of my favorite and most memorable moments from the light novel, but seeing them animated really took the magic out. Why? Because almost everyone dies like an idiot.

Roxy dies becuse of Hitogami's Rube Goldberg machine. Okay that's fine... I guess...

Cliff dies even though his grandfather's the pope because only Rudeus matters?

Sylphiette dies because she needs to either be with Rudeus or cannot recognize that Luke is batshit insane.

Nanahoshi dies because Rudeus can't help with her research?

Aisha, Zanoba, Julie, and Ginger die because despite having a fanatical religious state after them, they have no home security or identity protection aside from Rudeus afk all the time.

Worst of all, Eris dies because she can't leave an abusive ex who literally kidnaps her and beats her up.

In this timeline, Rudeus is the tragic main character. All his friends and wives are literal NPCs. F you deus ex Rudeus.
