Cashify promised me a ₹32,000 refund, issued a ₹32,000 credit note, and now I'm being told I'll only get ₹28,800
I posted here earlier about my Cashify ThinkPad L14 Gen 2 issue. The laptop was eventually taken back and I was promised a full refund of ₹32,000.
The store initially told us that the entire amount would be refunded. They also gave me a credit note showing a final amount of ₹32,000.
However, later I received a WhatsApp message from Cashify saying that a refund of only ₹28,800 had been initiated.
For the past 15+ days, I've been trying to get this resolved. The people at the store kept delaying us, saying things like:
"Sir is busy because Cashify Dubai opening."
They repeatedly told us they would try to get the full refund despite the fact that we were told from the beginning that the full ₹32,000 would be refunded and the credit note itself shows ₹32,000.
Now they have stopped answering our calls.
At this point, I'm confused about why the amount changed from ₹32,000 on the credit note to ₹28,800 in the refund communication.
I have:
The original ₹32,000 invoice
The ₹32,000 credit note
Cashify WhatsApp messages
The refund communication showing ₹28,800
Previous warranty/service records
What should I do now?
I would appreciate advice from anyone who has dealt with a similar Cashify refund issue.
TL;DR:
Cashify agreed to refund the full ₹32,000 and gave me a credit not
e showing ₹32,000. But they later said only ₹28,800 would be refunded. It's been 15+ days of delays and excuses, and they've now stopped answering my calls. I have the invoice, ₹32k credit note, and WhatsApp proof. What should I do next?
