What is the morality behind load enhancements?

Load enhancing is a feature i have rarely used in the digimon story games so far because it just feels sorta weird to me.

I know its just pixels on a screen and it has no actual relevance to the story, but i like to get attached to my mons when i'm playing a monster collection game, and creating a digimon just to insantly turn it into exp for another digimon i actually use just feels kinda... mean?

Idk, i rarely use it because it's a feature that just doesn't sit right with me. Gameplay use aside, does anyone else feel like this feature is a bit questionable?
