Dramatic increase in general empathy after becoming vegan

Anyone else experience what I'm describing? Basically, after I became vegan (through a documentary on Netflix, not Dominion, though I also watched that) I had a dramatic increase in general empathy and realizing the preciousness of life. Like obviously all life matters but the more I think about all this stuff, I just feel the weight of it all. The evil in this world, disregard for living beings, the apathy most people go through life with. I mean, I used to be the same way. But it's like a domino effect in the brain...one thing leads to another and yeah you just feel the weight of it all.
