My honest take on BB20 favouritism/bias so far
Jitne episodes ab tak aaye hain, mujhe lagta hai ki is season mein favouritism hai, but honestly, pichle kuch seasons jitni obvious nahi hai. Last season Amal Malik ko jo golden-child treatment mila tha, ya Sajid Khan ke time jo leniency dikhi thi, us level ka bias abhi tak nahi lag raha.
Mahhi: Mujhe lagta hai Mahhi ko kaafi free pass mil raha hai. Salman usse properly call out nahi karta, even after the “chh*kka” comment towards Luv. BB also seems to keep pushing her as a central character and push her towards the top 5.
Mary Kom: Salman doesn't seem to call her out much either. Maybe it's out of respect, or maybe they don't want to risk backlash for calling out an Olympic medalist. Just my guess.
Amrapali: I do wonder if her industry connections, especially her connection with Nirahua, play a role in why Salman doesn't really call her out.
Rhiti: I don't feel Salman is particularly biased towards her. Especially after she mentioned not getting much support from her father, he seems relatively careful with her, but I haven't noticed the same kind of favouritism that I see with some others.
Qazi: Qazi seems to be getting love from everyone, including Salman. I also feel he has become one of Salman's favourites. But I don't really have a problem with that because at least I can understand why he is getting that attention.
Kanika: I feel BB is trying to push her because she's a Colors face. But now that the Gullu-Kanika angle is over, she's barely visible. Makes me wonder how much of her visibility was actually coming from that angle. Thank God Munnawar came along and stopped Gullu from constantly flirting with her.
Isha Rikhi: I actually feel bad for Isha because she is probably too sincere/quiet for this show. And this is purely my speculation, but considering she's Badshah's ex, maybe Salman doesn't go out of his way to acknowledge her. Sonali Bendre had to praise her when honestly that appreciation could've come from Salman. It almost feels like they've already decided she isn't contributing enough. Maybe if she had received a little more encouragement, she would have opened up more.
Asif: I don't like Asif personally and I do find him problematic, but I still felt he was bashed a little too much on WKV. Once Salman really starts going after someone, we know how that goes.
This is just my opinion based on how I've observed the show so far. You may agree with some of it or disagree completely, but that's just how these dynamics have been coming across to me.
