Is my course worth it?
Hi all I'm doing a foundation mech engineering course as i thought id give uni a try. For content thats actually related to the course this term I have only 3 hours contact time on campus 1 of them hours are for practical. Im on campus for more time doing professional skills rather than content relating to my course.
Then there's also a two 1 hour online lecture. Which they've already told us will be 20 minutes of teaching and the rest will just be work.
So during the week ill only getting 4 hours of lectures taught to me the rest is all on myself. Im currently debating whether I want to be paying the tuition fee for this as i personally dont think it's worth it. Im sure the actual year 1, 2, 3 would be lecture heavy but I personally dont think the uni care much for foundation as all the introduction lectures finished early and the room wasn't even big enough to fit everyone in.
I do commute but If i moved into dorms and was only expected to actually attend on campus 4 hours a week for content thats actually linked to the course I would of feel extremely scammed
Is this normal?
